Palladian Cabernet Sauvignon 2020
A ruby red wine with lovely crimson hues. Lifted dark cherry notes and some dark plum too. A solid dense mouthfeel but still in the elegant frame, more tannin and body this year, a more structured wine. Mid-palate juiciness will develop in time. Black and red fruits a dominant with nougat and tobacco. Some oak spice on the finish. Will need time to really show it’s best.
Reviews
"It has all the hallmarks of a long-lived wine yet shows off its immediate appeal with lovely aromatics and beautiful fruit. A perfect combo of florals, wood spice, cassis and black olives, with a touch of nori and iron all encased in a savoury overlay"

"Fragrant nose of cedar, mulberries, cherries, blueberries, vanilla and mint leaves. Medium- to full-bodied and well-framed, with tight-knit tannins giving it a firm and focused backbone behind the dark berry fruit. Composed and elegant. Just opening up. Vegan. Drink from 2024."

"Complex aromas of bramble, blackberry, wild thyme, violets, mulberry and a lift of leafiness. The palate is finely structured, with lovely balance between fruit, oak and tannin. There's a drive of briary black fruits then the drying, sinewy tannins kick in and deliver shape, length and mouth-feel. There's some smart French oak framing it alll very nicely. One for the long haul."
