A very pretty aromatic wine with dark cherry and florals on the nose, violet and thyme. Soft, plush and long with boysenberry and blackberry and an extraordinarily long finish. Incredibly moreish with a finish that goes on for minutes. Medium to full bodied. Extraodinary seamless balance given it is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon.

The length of flavour is astoundingly long: enduring and persistent, it allows the fruit to promenade across the tongue, showing every feather and facet. Restrained and powerful, this surely needs a decant at this inchoate stage ... the tannins present as firm yet fine. A wonderful wine."

"Complex aromas of lead pencil, tobacco, blackberry, cigar box, dried herbs and brambles. Firm and structured with plenty of grippy, granular tannin rigour and lively acidity. The palate is full-bodied with blackberry, blackcurrant and dark cherry flavours, a touch of leafy menthol and plenty of savouriness. This has power and elegance and a layered sophistication to it. Built for the long-haul.

"Winemaker Clive Otto is a good fellow, though likely doesn’t suffer fools gladly, which probably leaves me in a precarious state. This is the Big Show. It’s 2018 Margaret River in full flight, with dark fruit, baking spices, fennel seed, and chocolate. Rich and plush, almost a Napa Valley opulence here, ripe and sticky tannin, plenty of nougat oak, tobacco,  freshness, and gravelly tannin running on a long and ripe spicy finish. Bold. Needs time, but very good.
