A elegant and refreshing medium-bodied deep ruby red wine with soft, supple tannins. On decanting it displays violes, blackcurrant, wild blackberry and just-ripe cherry aromas. The palate is refreshing, bright and juicy with cranberry and sour cherry.
"The Clare Valley, Langhorne Creek and Margaret River share what is often regarded as a second-rate variety, its best use as a blend component. Well, there are enough very good, fleshy dark fruits to prove it's capable of making really pleasing wines. This, with its plush fruits and ripe tannins, proves the point."
