Cabernet Merlot 2019
A medium bodied red wine, with a beautiful vibrant crimson hue. Aromas of dusty mulberry, dried bay and eucalyptus leaf, currants and cedarwood oak. Ripe berries and a hint of herbs. Clean acidity with a minerally feel to it. The style of Cabernet Merlot we are making at Fraser Gallop Estate is a wine that has greater freshness from a short barrel maturation and good concentration of flavour that comes naturally from dry grown Cabernet Sauvignon in the blend.
84% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc
Reviews
'' This blended red is pretty much always on the money for Fraser Gallop, delivering great value and quality in a compelling package. Generous fruit from this cooler vintage supported by chalky tannins and a lick of oak to give a little kick to the finish. Bright and lively for medium term-cellaring.''

"Youthful and purple in the glass. Aromas of redcurrant, cherry, cranberry, tobacco and a leafy, brambly lift. The palate is mid to full-bodied and full of bright red fruits, cedar, spice and some menthol twang. Solid tannins and lively acidity shape the wine nicely. It would love some protein."
