Fraser Gallop Estate 2008 Semillon Sauvignon Blanc
Vanya Cullen, of Cullen Wines in Margaret River, has been arguing for years that this blend will rival Cabernet and Chardonnay as the region's best wine style.
I was a sceptic but every year the wines of this style are reaching new heights.
She may be proved right yet because this is another beauty. The bouquet is delicately textured and crafted. It is a serious and very long wine with an impeccable balance that is followed by a clean and lingering aftertaste. 18 points.
