5 STARS (RED)
2009 Cabernet Sauvignon – 96 Points
Good colour; a fragrant and expressive bouquet, with blackcurrant and cassis to the fore, leads into a finely modulated medium-bodied palate, gently savoury tannins underpinning the long finish. Multiple trophies including Best Wine of Show, Margaret River Wine Show ’10.
2010 Parterre – 95 Points
A blend of Semillon/Sauvignon Blanc that has been given the works in the winery, wild yeast-fermented in a mix of new French oak barriques and stainless steel barriques, with nine months' maturation on lees. The superbly ripened fruit has absorbed the oak in remarkable fashion, the end result a seamless mouthful of complex flavours and textures.
2010 Semillon Sauvignon Blanc – 94 Points
A 66/34 blend, partially barrel fermented; the grassy notes of the semillon are neatly balanced by the gently tropical sauvignon blanc component, and the oak is largely invisible; the wine really scores with its length, finish and persistent aftertaste.
2010 Cabernet Merlot – 92 Points
Bright purple-crimson; a fragrant bouquet and welcoming palate of cassis, blackcurrant and mulberry provides the pleasure of today, those slightly gravelly Margaret River tannins the insurance for tomorrow.
2010 Chardonnay - 91 Points
Light straw-green; a fragrant bouquet of white peach, grapefruit and lemon, the eight months in French oak not very obvious; the palate, too, is fruit-driven and juicy, with good drive and length.
