2009 Cabernet Sauvignon – GOLD STAR – BEST IN CLASS
Judges comments - Inky dark crimson red with a tiny brick edge. Luscious perfume of fruit and spice erupts from the glass, crushed black currant, damson plum, whiffs of rosemary, cedar and vanilla, tobacco leaf, cardamom, leather and red earth. The palate is sensational. Cascade after cascade of intricate flavours and textures all swirling around a dense tight core of fruit and tannin, spiked with fresh acidity. This whirlwind of delight keeps the palate entertained long after the wine has left the mouth.
