Appealed to Bourne. "Lovely red berries and spice," he wrote. "On the palate, developing sweet fruit. Soft gentle and stylish. Relatively unevolved and excellent potential." I found this a very elegant, supple wine, with a fine tannin balance. It needs a couple of years, but is already very approachable.
